📖 Its Story
Tipi is a neighbourhood of the Akşehir district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 3 km northeast of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Tepe (1912); the present name Tipi became established later. The name Tepe is of Turkish origin. It was earlier home to Balkan immigrant communities; Turkish immigrant from Bulgaria families settled here later.
Historic sites recorded nearby include Akşehir Tren İstasyonu (~1 km), Nasreddin Hoca Heykeli, Akşehir (~3 km), Akşehir Batı Cephesi Karargahı Müzesi (~3 km).

Daha önceleri Ortaköy köyüne bağlı bir mahalle iken, 29 Mart 1946'da yine aynı köye bağlı Göçmen mahallesi ile birleşerek köy statüsü kazandı. 2012 yılındaki yasa değişikliğinden sonra yeniden mahalle oldu.
