📖 Its Story

Yenikuyu is a neighbourhood of the Altınekin district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 20 km southeast of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Yenikuyu Yaylası (1925); the present name Yenikuyu became established later. The name Yenikuyu Yaylası is of Turkish origin.

Daha önceleri Hacınuman köyüne bağlı bir yayla iken, 13 Ocak 1956'da yine aynı köye bağlı Karahallı, Karadüşen ve Tol yaylaları ile birleşerek köy statüsü kazandı.
