Kesmez is a neighbourhood of the Karapınar district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 15 km east of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Kezmez (1960), Kesmez/Keşmez (1926), Thêbasa/Tibassada (75); the present name Kesmez became established later. The name Thêbasa/Tibassada is of Anatolian languages origin.
Historic sites recorded nearby include Kesmez Kalesi (~2 km).
