Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Karaağaç is a neighbourhood of the Meram district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 25 km south of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Xayrabad or Karaağaç (1926); the present name Karaağaç became established later. It was earlier home to Balkan immigrant communities; Turkish immigrant from Bulgaria families settled here later.
Historic sites recorded nearby include Hatunsaray Akköprü (~4 km), Hatunsaray Gömse Köprüsü (~4 km), Lystra (~4 km).
