Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Çeşmelisebil is a neighbourhood of the Sarayönü district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 42 km north of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Çeşmeli Zebir (1894), Gdanmaa/Gdammaua (150) (535); the present name Çeşmelisebil became established later. The name Gdanmaa/Gdammaua is of Anatolian languages origin. It was earlier home to Turkmen communities; Yörük families settled here later.
Historic sites recorded nearby include Çeşmelisebil Höyük (~1 km), Kuyulusebil Höyük (~5 km).

Kasabanın eski belediye binası avlusunda dört adet mezar stili ve bir adet alınlık bulunmaktadır ve doğusunda yer alan höyükte Hellenistik, Roma ve Osmanlı dönemine ait keramikler bulunmuştur. Antik dönemdeki ismi Kıstanus idi. Konar göçer, yörük geleneğini devam ettiren Kara Tekeli, Karakoyunlu, Sarı Keçili, Bolacalı ve Honamlı yörük cemaatleri tarafından kurulmuştur. Karasal iklim görülmektedir.
