📖 The Story

At İvriz near Ereğli, set beside a spring, the relief depicts King Warpalawas before the fertility god Tarhunzas. The god, holding ears of grain and a bunch of grapes, is among Anatolia's most graceful Late Hittite works. The İvriz spring and greenery beside it make the visit all the more beautiful.
