Lake Beyşehir
Türkiye's largest freshwater lake and national park; islands, birds and sunsets.
📖 The Story
Stretching at the foot of the Taurus, Lake Beyşehir is Türkiye's largest freshwater lake and an important national park. With hundreds of islets, rich birdlife and unmatched sunsets it enchants nature lovers. Boat tours, lakeside cafés and nearby Seljuk monuments make for a full day.
The lake holds more than thirty islands large and small; an island tour by boat from the shore villages means a day crowned with grilled pikeperch. The Eşrefoğlu Mosque on its shore and Kubadabad Palace across the water add two heritage stops to the nature trip.
