Kaşören Neighbourhood

📖 Its Story

Kaşören is a neighbourhood of the Çeltik district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 10 km northeast of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Rengan (2020), Renkoğlu (1901); the present name Kaşören became established later. The name Rengan is of Kurdish origin, meaning "renkli?". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.
