Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Adakasım is a neighbourhood of the Çeltik district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 10 km southeast of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Sorikan (1997), Kasımoğlu (1911); the present name Adakasım became established later. The name Sorikan is of Kurdish origin, meaning "Kızıllar (aş.)". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.
