📖 Its Story
Adakale is a neighbourhood of the Çumra district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 28 km east of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Yılanlı (1926); the present name Adakale became established later. The name Yılanlı is of Turkish origin. Turkmen families settled here in a later period.

Daha önceleri Uzunkuyu köyüne bağlı Yılanlı mahallesi iken, 30 Mart 1946'da Adakale adıyla köy statüsü kazandı. 2012 yılındaki yasa değişikliğinden sonra yeniden mahalle oldu. Konya il merkezine 76 km, Çumra ilçe merkezine 34 km uzaklıktadır.
