Karkın is a neighbourhood of the Çumra district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 12 km northeast of the district centre.
The name Karkın is of Turkish origin, meaning "the name of an Oghuz tribe".
Historic sites recorded nearby include Karkın Kasabası Köprüsü (~3 km), Karkın Höyüğü (~3 km).

Konya merkeze yaklaşık 40 km mesafededir. Kargın adının kaynağı Oğuz boyundan gelen Yıldızhan'ın 4 oğlundan en küçüğüdür. Onun boyundan gelenlere de Karkınlı/Kargınlı denir. Türkler Ortaasya'dan yeni bir yerleşke bulmak üzere cıktığında Kargın boyuda bunların arasındadır. Bugünkü Anadolu'ya gelirler ve farklı bölgelere yerleşirler ve bunlardan bir kısmı da bugünkü Cumra'daki Karkın'a yerleşir.
