📖 Its Story

Belkaya is a neighbourhood of the Ereğli district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 51 km north of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Arısama (1928), Ardistama (150); the present name Belkaya became established later. The name Arısama is of Greek origin.

Yerleşimin adı, 1928 yılı kayıtlarında Arısma ya da Arısama olarak geçmektedir. Daha önceleri Karapınar ilçesine bağlıyken, 20 Mayıs 1990'da Ereğli ilçesine bağlandı.2012 yılındaki yasa değişikliğinden sonra mahalle oldu.
