📖 Its Story

Çavuşçugöl is a neighbourhood of the Ilgın district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 15 km north of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Çavuşçu (1926); the present name Çavuşçugöl became established later. Turkmen families settled here in a later period.

Çavuşçugöl, Ilgın'ın 17 km kuzeyinde, Ilgın gölü kenarında Tombaktepe, Kızılbayır, Aldıvermezler ve Gavurdağı arasında düz, verimli bir arazi üzerinde kurulmuş bir mahalledir.
