📖 Its Story

Dığrak is a neighbourhood of the Ilgın district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 32 km southwest of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Tigrak (1926); the present name Dığrak became established later. Yörük families settled here in a later period.

150 yıl kadar önce Antalya ve Emirdağ yörenden gelen Yörükler tarafından kurulmuştur. İlk kurulduğunda 6 hane olduğu, Sıçansuyu ve Yaylak adlı 2 mezrası bulunduğu bilinmektedir. Köy adını, “daha uzak” anlamına gelen “ırak” kelimesinin “Daha ırak”, “Daa ırak”, “Dığrak” şeklinde değişikliğe uğramasından aldığını, köylüler tarafından anlatılmaktadır. Kuzeyindeki Doğanyuvası mevkisindeki Saraycık köyün ören yeridir.
