📖 Its Story

Zincirlikuyu is a neighbourhood of the Kulu district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 18 km south of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Gordoğlu (1956), Kürdoğlu (1912); the present name Zincirlikuyu became established later. It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.

Uzun zaman Gördoğlu ismiyle anılan mahallenin ismi 1976 yılında Zincirlikuyu olarak değiştirilmiştir. 1915 yılında köy olan Zincirlikuyu 1967 yılında kasaba, 2012 yılında ise mahalle olmuştur. Yerli halkı 1750 yıllarında Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesinin çeşitli yerlerinden göçebe halinde Anadolu'nun bazı bölgelerine kısa süreli yerleşmiş, 1800 yıllarında da mahallenin şu anki yerleşim yerine yerleşmişlerdir.
