Tuzyaka Neighbourhood

📖 Its Story

Tuzyaka is a neighbourhood of the Kulu district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 20 km southeast of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Harami Cüdkanlı (1956); the present name Tuzyaka became established later. The name Harami Cüdkanlı is of Kurdish origin, meaning "the name of an Oghuz tribe". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.
