Bozan Neighbourhood

📖 Its Story

Bozan is a neighbourhood of the Kulu district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 19 km southeast of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Cidkâni (1912), Bozanlu (1769); the present name Bozan became established later. The name Cidkâni is of Kurdish origin, meaning "the name of an Oghuz tribe". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.
