Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Koçyazı is a neighbourhood of the Yunak district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 10 km southwest of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Ağzıaçık aş. or Cipkanlı (1924); the present name Koçyazı became established later. The name Ağzıaçık aş.|Cipkanlı is of Kurdish origin, meaning "the name of an Oghuz tribe". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.
