📖 The Story
Built in 1264 for Vizier Sahip Ata, the madrasa is named for its slender single-balcony minaret; the braided relief bands of its portal are counted the summit of Seljuk stone carving. Since 1956 it serves as the Stone and Wood Works Museum, showing double-headed eagles, inscriptions and reliefs from Konya's citadel.
