Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Esence is a neighbourhood of the Beyşehir district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 15 km southeast of the district centre.
Historic sites recorded nearby include Evreği II Höyüğü (~3 km), Bada Köprüsü (~5 km).

Kasaba Selçuklular devrinde, Beyşehir-Seydişehir-Akşehir yörelerine yerleştirilen Türk oymaklarının çoğu Adçekenler (Esbkesan) Türkmen oymağı olduğu gibi, Oğuzların Afşar, Salur, Turgutlu ve başka Türk oymaklarından bazı bölüklerin yer aldığı bilinmektedir. Eski adı HOMA'dır, bu ismin Rum kökenli olduğu için 1964 yılında İ.İnönü tarafından “Aşağı Esence” olarak değiştirilmiştir.
