Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Kütükuşağı is a neighbourhood of the Cihanbeyli district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 36 km northwest of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Xopan/Xopo (2020), Kütikuşağı/Kütigânlı (1858); the present name Kütükuşağı became established later. The name Kütikuşağı/Kütigânlı is said to mean "the name of an Oghuz tribe". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.
