Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Beykonak is a neighbourhood of the Ilgın district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 19 km southeast of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Tekke or MahmuthisarTekkesi (1928); the present name Beykonak became established later. The name Tekke|MahmuthisarTekkesi is of Turkish origin. Yörük families settled here in a later period.
Historic sites recorded nearby include Dediği Sultan Mescid ve Tekkesi (~2 km), Şeyh Halit Türbesi (~4 km).
