Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Gökçeyurt is a neighbourhood of the Ilgın district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 19 km southeast of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Kembos (1928); the present name Gökçeyurt became established later. The name Kembos is of Greek origin, meaning "ova, ekinlik". Turkmen families settled here in a later period.
