Konya'yı 📖 Its Story
Acıkuyu is a neighbourhood of the Kulu district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 31 km south of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Bîrtalik (2020); the present name Acıkuyu became established later. The name Bîrtalik is of Kurdish origin, meaning "acıkuyu". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.

Daha önceleri Ömeranlı köyüne bağlı Acıkuyu yaylası iken, 17 Mayıs 1955'te köy statüsü kazandı. 2012 yılındaki yasa değişikliğinden sonra ise mahalle oldu. Konya il merkezine 125 km, Kulu ilçe merkezine 26 km, Tavşançalı beldesine ise 15 km. mesafededir.
