📖 Its Story
Arşıncı is a neighbourhood of the Kulu district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 18 km west of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as Xalko (2020), Arşuncu (1928); the present name Arşıncı became established later. The name Xalko is of Kurdish origin, meaning "the name of an Oghuz tribe". It was earlier home to Sunni Kurdish communities; Kurdish (Hanafi Sunni) families settled here later.
