📖 Its Story

Doğutepe is a neighbourhood of the Kulu district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 20 km west of the district centre.

In older records the settlement appears as Kuşca Yaylası (1954); the present name Doğutepe became established later. Turkmen families settled here in a later period.

Daha önceleri Kozanlı köyüne bağlı Kurtca yaylası iken, 16 Ağustos 1954'te Doğutepe adıyla köy statüsü kazandı. Daha önceleri Cihanbeyli ilçesine bağlıyken, 25 Mayıs 1956'da Kulu ilçesine bağlandı. 2012 yılındaki yasa değişikliğinden sonra mahalle oldu. Bu isim tesadüfi değildir.
