📖 Its Story
Harunlar is a neighbourhood of the Yunak district of Konya, Türkiye. It lies about 25 km southeast of the district centre.
In older records the settlement appears as el-Harrân (870), Arra gen. Arrôn (~600); the present name Harunlar became established later. The name Arra gen. Arrôn is of Anatolian languages origin. Yörük families settled here in a later period.
Historic sites recorded nearby include Harunlar Kalesi (~4 km).

Eski bir Bizans yerleşim merkezidir. Türkler tarafından ilk defa Turgut yerleşim yerinin yaylası olarak kullanılmıştır. Mahallenin güneyinde Bizanslılara ait Asar Kalesi ve mezarlar bulunmaktadır. Kale, iç surlar ve dış surlar olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Ancak yapısal anlamda yıkık ve virane durumundadır. Kale yakınlarında ayrıca oyulmuş taş evler bulunmaktadır.
