📖 The Story

Founded in the 12th-century Seljuk era, the mosque took its present form in a 1636 rebuilding. Its great dome in classical Ottoman order and airy prayer hall offer unexpected calm amid the bazaar bustle; the marble work of mihrab and minbar rewards a close look.
