📖 The Story

Today's Aziziye was completed in 1874 with the support of Pertevniyal Valide Sultan, mother of Sultan Abdülaziz. Its minarets crowned with little pavilions instead of balconies and its baroque-empire ornament draw a silhouette unmatched in Anatolia; generous windows flood the hall with daylight. It stands at the very heart of the historic bazaar.
